Mrs. John H Kilgo
Mrs. John H. Kilgo, of 509 W. 11th St. and a member of a pioneer Rome family, died early this morning in a Rome hospital. Mrs Kilgo had been in declining health for several months, her condition becoming critical five days age. Born in Rome Oct. 25, 1887, Mrs. Kilgo, the former Cora Stevens, was the daughter of the late R. G. and Martha Helm Stevens. She received her education in the Rome Public Schools and for a number of years prior to her illness she was a active member of the First Baptist Church. On March 20, 1913 she was married to John H. Kilgo who survives her. Surviving besides her husband are two sisters, Miss Pearl Stevens of Rome and Mrs. J. L. Gossett, of Columbus; two brothers, Luther Stevens and Dewey Stevens, Sr., both of Rome, several neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Golden Stevens, Jan. 25, 1957 and a sister, Mrs. Lona S. Davis in March 1955. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the chapel of the Stevens Funeral Home. The Rev. Forrest Lanier and Dr. Bunyan Stephens, pastor Emeritus, will officiate with interment to follow in the family lot in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers include S. D. Jowers, Paul Scoggins, Willingham Smith, Jr., W. E. Marshall, Denny Sharpe, Albert Fahy.

Glen Lewis Kilgore
Glen Lewis Kilgore, 53, of 333 West 7th St., who died in a Rome hospital Thursday night will be held at 10 a.m. today in Mt. Olive Baptist Church, the Revs. J. H. Chastain, W. O. Meadow and H. N. Wooten officiating. Interment will be in New Caanan Cemetery, near Section, Ala. The body will lie in state at the residence of a daughter, Mrs. James Kilgore, 11 Elizabeth St. until time for services. Pall bearers will meet at the residence at 9:25 a.m. Jennings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
