Take Highway 53 out of Rome towards Calhoun (going north). Turn left onto Bells Ferry Road this is the first intersection after passing the Rome by-pass going north on highway 53. Stay on Bells Ferry Road for 4 miles. Oosanaula Cemetery will be on the left. Pass the cemetery and take a hard left onto Battey Farm Road. This road will take you back past the cemetery and to the parking lot at Oostanaula United Methodist Church.
This cemetery is located in the rolling hills of Northwest Georgia. It is situated on top of a hill overlooking rolling pastures and forests. Behind the cemetery is Oostanaula United Methodist Church. This church is a white frame building with a large front porch and columns.
The cemetery is well cared for and picturesque. The Brown lot is in the center of the cemetery and is surrounded by a rock wall, large bushes and seating areas. Benches in the cemetery have stained-glass looking tops. The cemetery has a white fence on one side and is full of large bushes and live oaks.
There are approximately 10 12 old crude grave markers that are unreadable. Some of these have small metal markers with the information written on them.
